Dehiscence is effected by the splitting of thse central portion os tho Wali into longitudinal shreds, duo to the shortening of the columella. Allied to Podaris in the structuro of the gleba, distinguished by tho uiam istati able tetrasporous basidia bearing the spores on distinct Sterigmata, also in the peculiar mode os dehiscunce; in thepresent genus the gleba is not lacunose as in Secotium.
